Your local council charges Council Tax to pay for services they provide for you. It applies in England, Scotland and Wales.

There are several ways you can reduce your council tax bill. You may be able to get discounts if you have an illness or disability, like Parkinson’s, or have a certain number of people in the house. Benefits such as Council Tax Support can also help if you’re on a low income.
